The Slad Brook Chapbook
The Slad Brook runs from the town centre of Stroud in Gloucestershire to the village of Slad, a few miles to the North East.
Slad was the home of the poet Laurie Lee and a Chapbook is defined as a small book containing ballads, poems, tales and tracts. In our case the traditional woodcuts have been replaced by photographs.
The Slad Brook Chapbook was compiled once every two months by Fred Chance and Philip Rush. It ran for twelve issues before becoming a victim of Covid 19 and lockdowns.
