Circus
The people I met and photographed lived, worked and travelled together for nine months of the year. Before Biliana and Kiril Kirilov brought them together to perform in the Big Kid Circus, many of them had enjoyed careers in the Moscow and Ukraine State Circuses.
They invited me into the homes they occupied whilst at work and let me watch them perform each night they visited my home town.
Bili and Kiril came to the UK in 1999 as trapeze artists and then went on to manage their own circus which continues to travel widely throughout the world.
